Romans in Israel (5-27 Recap)

Today we went from Galilee to Jerusalem along the Jordan River. We saw Bet Shean, a Roman city and a member of the Decapolis. It was destroyed by an earthquake, so the paths are all wavy. It was really cool to see what happened to it! We also went to the Dead Sea. Floating on it is so much fun! The water is getting more and more concentrated with minerals, because there isn’t enough water flowing in to replace the evaporated water. The receding shore line is a big problem. Even the Jordan is getting smaller, it has gone down at least 10 feet from 2013. After we swam at the Dead Sea, we drove to Jerusalem for the night.
