Exploring the Sea of Galilee (5-26 Recap)
We drove around the Galilee region on Sunday (5-26). In the morning we went to Capernaum, and saw a 4th century synagogue build on a synagogue from Jesus’ time. We drove to the Mount of the Beatitudes. Where according to tradition Jesus gave the “Sermon On the Mount.” After a tasty fish lunch, we went to Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene. They found an synagogue from Jesus’ time that, since it was there in Jesus’ time and the town was mentioned in the Bible, it’s very likely Jesus taught there. Then, on the way to our boat ride, we stopped at the museum for a 2,000 year old boat. It was discovered by a pair of fishermen from Galilee. The boat ride was very cool, it was so fun to see the waves, the lake, and the mountains. I was hoping for a storm, but all we got was some wind.

Sounds like another great day! Haha, yeah, being caught in a storm on the sea if Galilee would be a noteworthy experience.
